Believe You Me, We ROCKED 2023!

2023 was our first year without Custom Forms, so what has always been a well oiled machine, was a bit different to say the least. There were over 150 amazing folks at out event this year… we couldn’t do it without every smiling, sometimes sweaty face! That all being said, we surpassed out goal by five boxes in less than 3 hours! 655 boxes were sent around the world to the front lines. Reaching ships and land… and hopefully well deserved service men and woman! We are already (3 days before Christmas) receiving notes that our packages have arrived in “droves” as quoted by a service woman in Poland. We hope that we can continue to bring joy to as many service men and woman as possible during the holidays for as long as our mission is needed. Please enjoy the best article ever written about our event, by the one and only Dana Gray at the Caledonian Record. Until next year… God Bless!

2022 We Surpassed Our Goal!

Our goal was 600 care packages to be sent to combat units serving in Africa, Kuwait, Romania and undisclosed areas. With the help of over 80 volunteers we were producing 100 care packages every 20 minutes! We far surpassed our goal and sent out 620 packages, in less than two hours! We can never stress this enough… our community is absolutely AMAZING. We are excited to start planning for next years event! With our new goal of 650 care packages to be sent in 2023… keep Vermont businesses in mind that you think may want to join our efforts in filling these great packages. Keep checking back for new things going on with VT S.U.P.P.O.R.T.S. and follow us on Facebook to see new pictures and maybe get a peak at some thank you from soldiers in a few weeks!! 2021 Packing Event – Restriction FREE!

On our 10th Anniversary, COVID forced us to close our event to the public. We better CELEBRATE TOGETHER in 2021 by reaching our goal of packing and shipping out over 400 care packages!

Remember it costs us $20.40 per box to ship so your donations are important!

YES our goal has gone down, our mission remains the same, but the quality of our boxes will be our focus this year.

YES, you can still HELP! We are counting on you! If you can’t make it to our event at the Elks club in St. Johnsbury on December 4th, YOU, your family, your friends, and/or co-workers can still FILL BOXES!! See donate page for more information on shipping costs, shopping list, NO SHIP list and for more details on what boxes to use.

Drop-Off of filled boxes and donated supplies will be on December 3rd at the Elks between 1-6pm.

HOW MANY CAN WE FILL!!?? Let’s show our troops we love and support them everyday, but especially when they are serving over the holidays. Thank you for your continued support.

We couldn’t continue this project without people like you!

Moving Forward after Loss

“When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure.”

-Unknown

We are sad to post the loss of our founding “mother” … who had this amazing dream to bring smiles to those who may have felt forgotten by those they were fighting for. Dorcas brought so much joy to men and women on the front lines. We can only hope to continue her dream as long as we are needed. May she continue to shine down on our organization knowing her passion flows within every event we host. We have truly lost a treasure and our deepest condolences are with her amazing family.

2018 Packing Event SUCCESS

WE DID IT! WE HIT OUR GOAL!
In two hours and five minutes we were able to pack and send out 608 care packages to 9 different units serving in combat zones in Afghanistan, Iraq, and the Horn of Africa. Along with these packages we sent out 9 artificial Christmas trees with lights and ornaments; for a GRAND TOTAL of 617 boxes! We couldn’t have done it without the help of over 120 guests, including SANTA, who were able to make it to our event at the Elks Club in St. Johnsbury.

Our hearts are overwhelmed at the support this organization continues to receive from local businesses and community members. Our reach is moving further across the state and it excites us for next year!

Now we wait. We wait for those 9 names to be announced at mail call. Some of those names receiving over 200 boxes! May our mission continue by raising the spirits of those serving, if only for a few moments, letting them know they are loved and supported by this tiny community of people with gigantic hearts in our home state of Vermont.
